If you were charged with Operating After Suspension/or/Revocation, you may be able to reinstate your privileges right away, before you go to Superior Court. You should try to do so today. If you are successful, your new court case might be dismissed up front.
There is a brand-new procedure in effect now in Superior Court: When you first go to court, if you are not represented by an attorney, the court will ask you to talk to a "Duty Attorney," whose job is to explain your choices to you and perhaps suggest a settlement of your case right away. If you accept an offer to settle your case, it might be disposed of right away, on that same day.
If you prefer, you may e-mail our office, or fill out the form on the Contact Us page of this website and a representative from the office will be in touch with you as soon as possible. Don't leave your driving privileges or your freedom to chance. Call the Public Information Center for D.C. Traffic Law today.
